Bonus Points:
(Hard, 2 points) Include a black cat crossing your path
(Easy, 1 point)  Incorporate a Bee Gee's lyric

I don't remember too much about my early childhood, but, at 9 years old, reading bedtime stories to my 6 year old little sister.  When my son was a baby, I would read books in between play times, settling down for meals, and moreAs he progressed into grade school, he would pick a cat to put on his bed, pet them until they were calm, and he'd read books out loud to the cat until they fell asleep.  Sometimes he'd have 2 cats.  It was very precious, since he was not always good at reading aloud, unless it was to read to his cats.

Speaking of cats, I never thought I'd be a cat lady, since growing up, I'd been severely allergic to them.  All of a sudden, in my mid/late 20's, I no longer got a reaction.  I'd had 2 black cats...  You know about the myth about bad luck when a black cat crosses your path?  So...  if you have 2, and they both cross your path, does the second cancel the first, or is it double?  I have no idea....  But seriously, to those who actually believes it, I think it's so absurd, that so I laugh in your face.

Meadow rows to the windmill
Meadow rows to the windmill

This is a nice flower meadow in the country.  But, Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.  I bet Dorothy wished that Aunt Em's farm looked more like this, after visiting the Emerald City...

Gifts, Good Prices and more...

Not too long ago in the past, I joined a Rely Local group here on facebook.  The premise on relying locally, is that when we support businesses that are privately or locally owned and operated, as much as 86% of the money you spend there stays here in our own city, therefore, promoting more business here in Racine.  Most of us know of the high unemployment here in our proud town, where many are still suffering the blows from being under or unemployed.  I like this idea.

So, here is what is kind of cool...  Graduation and Father's day are coming up, and getting pictures is a great thing, where you can get prints if you want, or if you'd prefer a disc, that is okay too...  Pictures of your loved ones make awesome gifts, and my friend, Amanda, is an up and coming photographer.  Please check out her page here:  https://www.facebook.com/pjmphotos

Need help with some make up?  My other friend, Laura, is a make up artist as well as a Mary Kay distributor.  https://www.facebook.com/laura.fogelson?fref=ufi

Both of these are well priced, and the photography is helping everyone, because you get a great price as well.  With the make up, you get the pampering as well, and as moms, we need that, too.

So, here's to hoping that these very locally based businesses can be supported, especially in this hard economy.  I assure you, that these people are NOT going to steal your money, but, just wanting to give you above and beyond customer service, at the fairest prices available.

If you don't have a need for their services, please share this info with others, in case they are interested.

Time Won't Let Me: Blogophilia 13.7

Marvin Martian's blog for guidelines:  https://www.facebook.com/notes/marvin-martian/blogophilia-week-137-time-wont-let-me/738402822847604

Bonus Points:
(Hard, 2 points) Incorporate a line from the song "Pompeii" by Bastille
(Easy, 1 point)  Include a newscaster or reporter
Well, yikes!  The days are flying by like crazy...  I can't believe that I've been done with my coursework for two weeks already...  I've had a few nibbles on my applications to hospitals, and even had a couple of interviews.  Thing is, I can't let up on trying to get something stable, yet I've got so much to do....  Time won't let me get it all done.  Barbara K. understands how time flies away from us.

So, I'm left to my own devices to try to get everything done...  Sometimes, I think that Nissemech understands when I ask How am I gonna be an optimist about this?  But then, here is Scott Steele, my favorite newscaster, and Irene won't argue with me on this one...  http://www.todaystmj4.com/about/people/121250774.html

Dark & Black
Dark & Black

In times of weakness, when my outlook is dark and black, without sugar, it's nice to drink coffee, yet sometimes it's the sound of silence sitting alone sipping my strong and dark coffee...  But then, in the nick of time, The David is my favorite raider in keeping me company, and tells me, "take my arms that I might reach you".  It's good to hug a good friend.  Now, back to my usual sunkist orange self, ready to tackle my daily tasks while I also have renewed energy to help abused children.

Gathered Here Today: Blogophilia 12.7

Link to Marvin Martian's blog, for content, rules, points, etc...  https://www.facebook.com/notes/marvin-martian/blogophilia-week-127-gathered-here-today/729409747080245

Bonus Points:
(Hard, 2 points) Include the word "aprosexia"
(Easy, 1 point) Incorporate a gypsy proverb or saying

Gathered here today, with Trevor corralling us together, we have an interesting piece of work here, a piece of dolomite rock, donated by Irene, to show us what our bones look like when we have osteoperosis

Pumice rock
Pumice rock

But then again, it's igneous rock - that can jam out a drum beat...  Or is it the wrong type of rock?  Does this rock then roll?

Most of the time, I'm pretty focused.  But, occasionally, I have aprosexia, and Barbara K. explained that one to me.  But of course, I have a one track mind, originally thinking that prosexia is when you are having the condition of being in favor of sex.  So, aprosexia would be without the condition of being in favor of sex, which does not describe me.  I'm more hyperprosexia, because I think it should be celebrated, never abused, and enjoyed between willing partners, whom ever it is.  Then, of course, thinking about medical terms, my sexy instructor comes to mind...  I guess my hubby will be getting some extra special attention...  Who turned up the heat, anyway?

Speaking of which, pregnancy is sexually transmitted.  So, be careful with whom you choose, because Doris and I know that "beauty cannot be eaten with a spoon" and advise everyone to "treat your luck well, and it will never leave you".  Speaking of pregnancy, which hopefully leads to birthing a healthy baby, but, even if we have our precious ones with special needs, these are our babies to be loved and raised properly.  No abusing!  In honor of Mother's Day, I would like to wish all mothers out there a great day today, whether we are mothers of human children, angel babies, foster parents, or have furry kids...  May your day be blessed with a lot of goodness.

Point of View: Blogophilia 11.7

Marvin Martian's criteria blog - https://www.facebook.com/notes/marvin-martian/blogophilia-week-117-point-of-view/728654310489122

Bonus Points:
(Hard, 2 points) Incorporate a lyric from the singer/poet Jewel
(Easy, 1 point) Include the phrase "a touch of darkness"

In the Corner
In the Corner

Sometimes, even as social as I am, I need some time for myself.  Going out on a drive, rocking out with my favorite classic rock station; going down to sit at the breakwater rocks at Lake Michigan, just to watch the ducks, geese, and the waves; or even just sitting in a quiet corner, pondering.  About everything.  Nothing.  Anything...  Of course, it would be great, if I could sit in a beautiful French room, like what is pictured, and think about my friends, such as Christine, who knows elegant art when she sees it...

I often sit in a spot, where direct sunlight doesn't shine on, when I ponder...  Somehow, a touch of darkness helps me focus at the same time, blanking my mind.  Of course, this sounds like a contradiction of terms, and Nina is the expert of making these contradictions make perfect sense.

In MY point of view, I should be allowed to adopt every abused child, to give them what a loving home should look like.  Trevor's point of view is, I just finished a school program that I should go for, and do what I have been for the sake of our abused and neglected children.  He is probably correct.

But, of course, I am "trying to move mountains with words", and Barbara does a much better job in doing this, because what's simple is true.

Tomorrow is Another Day: Blogophila 10.7

Marvin Martian's blog:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/marvin-martian/blogophilia-week-107-tomorrow-is-another-day/728080283879858

You know, even though blogophilia is a way for creative expression, you are all welcome to write your own stories...  Don't forget to go to the link above to see the rules.  We are all here for the love of telling our stories as we see fit!

Bonus Points:
(Hard, 2 points) Quote Scott Adams
(Easy, 1 point) Integrate a half life

I am finally done with my course work as a Health Unit Coordinator.  Fall semester, I got 2 A's and a B; Medical Terms, Health Care Customer Service and Intro to Medical Computing, respectively.  This second semester, I got straight A's; Technical Writing, Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) procedures 1, HUC Procedures 2, and HUC clinical.  Mind you, every one of my instructors were really good.  I can't make a complaint on any of them, and people who know me, know that I love to complain.  The registration process was hell, but, once I got into the actual courses, I was lucky enough to have nice teachers.  And most people know what I think about the one sexy instructor...  0:)  To my great teacher, I'd like to give them credit for acts of kindness.  We all know that there is no such thing as a small act of kindness.  Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.

Anyway, with the way this year is flying so fast, I really do feel like I just started in January, and it feels like it's only been about a month, maybe 6 weeks, but, here it is May...  No more school.  But, Irene understands as a fellow student, that Tomorrow is Another Day!  I am ready to land some kind of position related to what I do.  I have two potential prospects, but, of course we can't count our chickens until they hatch, so, I just hope that something turns up.

We all know about the thing about not being any stupid questions...  And Jay wants to know...  If there are no stupid questions, what kind of questions do stupid people ask?  Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?  I know, right?  Seriously...  Speaking of stupid questions, do you know that pedophiles and their supporters want to make pedophilia a form of sexual orientation?  Are they freaking serious?  So should pyromaniacs be allowed to set fires in buildings where people live?  Should alcoholics, drunk off their gourds, be allowed to drive a motorized vehicle?  I think NOT!  If pedophiles wanting to list their sick thinking as a sex orientation, that is just plain absurd!  Thing that makes me mad, is that they want to ride off of the coat tails of they Gay Rights Movement.  Gay people stay within their peers, much like straight people.  Pedophiles are full grown adults, and they're targeting children.  This is NOT the same as a 19 year old guy having a 17 year old girlfriend.  This is more like a 17 year old targeting 9 year olds.  Or a 25 year old targeting preschoolers.  Or a 40+ person targeting 16 year olds.  It's the fact that the children are so young, innocent and still perfect (at least perfect enough, anyway), and some dummy wants to tarnish that.  Well, I'm not giving up, I'm still here to fight this.  We also know that pedophiles don't deserve a full life, and DJ Myke suggests they get a half life by what ever means necessary.

Beached on a Boulder
Beached on a Boulder

So, anyway, Nissemech took these pedophiles on a rafting trip, with Marvin Martian leading the river ship, to abandon ship leaving these suckers beached on a boulder with no place to go.  Or maybe they're up $&!)s creek but make sure you yank their paddles, so they can be up the creek without a paddle to be at the mercy of the elements.

You people are heroes to the children.  Love you all, here in blogophilia land!
